Implementation Specialist

About the Role

The Implementation Specialist is responsible for delivering end-to-end software implementation projects within the banking and financial services sector, with a strong emphasis on Trade Finance solutions. The role ensures that our products are seamlessly integrated into client environments through accurate configuration, thorough testing, and close collaboration with clients and internal teams.

You will work directly with banks and financial institutions to implement digital solutions that streamline trade finance operations, strengthen compliance, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Manage the full lifecycle of implementation projects, from project initiation through go-live and post-implementation support.
  • Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to define scope, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria.
  • Ensure project milestones are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with quality standards.

Configuration & Deployment

  • Configure CONPEND’s Trade Finance solutions according to client-specific requirements and business rules.
  • Perform data mapping, system configuration, and interface testing to ensure seamless integration with existing client systems.
  • Support clients throughout user acceptance testing (UAT), go-live activities, and the transition to steady-state operations.

Client Collaboration

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact during implementation projects, maintaining clear, structured, and proactive communication.
  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to gather requirements, validate configurations, and onboard end users.
  • Translate complex Trade Finance processes (e.g. Letters of Credit, Guarantees, and Collections) into effective system configurations that meet business needs.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including implementation plans, configuration details, test cases, and user guides.
  • Provide regular status updates and progress reports to internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of implementation templates, standards, and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Proven experience in software implementation within financial services, preferably with Trade Finance systems
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and CRM tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage
